Leon Draisaitl has proven his playoff prowess once again, becoming the third-fastest player to reach 100 career postseason points as an Edmonton Oilers center.
Draisaitl hit this milestone with a two-assist performance during the Oilers’ Game 6 victory against the Vancouver Canucks. In the first period, he assisted on Dylan Holloway’s goal, who scored after a solo effort down the ice. Later, with less than seven minutes remaining, Draisaitl reached 100 points by winning a faceoff that led to an Evander Kane goal, making it 5-1 and securing the game.
Draisaitl is now the third fastest player to hit 100 career playoff points, only behind Gretzky and Lemieux.
With two 5v5 assists tonight, Draisaitl ranks first all-time in career playoff even-strength points per hour ever since TOI was officially tracked.

Draisaitl accomplished this feat in just his 60th playoff game, with a total of 39 goals and 61 assists. He joins Wayne Gretzky (46 games) and Mario Lemieux (50 games) as the fastest players to reach 100 playoff points in NHL history.
Additionally, Draisaitl’s performance in Game 6 set another record. With both assists coming at even strength, he now ranks first all-time in 5v5 playoff points per 60 minutes among players with tracked ice time.
This year, Draisaitl has been outstanding in the playoffs, tallying 8 goals and 15 assists for a total of 23 points in just 11 games. He leads all players in playoff points, ranks third in goals, and is second in assists.
This success follows a slightly underwhelming regular season by Draisaitl’s standards, where he scored 41 goals and 65 assists for 106 points in 81 games. These were his lowest full-season point totals since 2018-19, and the first time he hasn’t finished in the top five in scoring since 2017-18.
