Excitement Builds: Sydney Roosters NRLW Squad Unveiled as Preseason Action Begins in June!
The Sydney Roosters NRLW preseason officially commences in early June, with the team set to train at the Club’s dedicated NRLW Headquarters situated within Moore Park’s Entertainment Quarter (EQ).
Establishing the Roosters NRLW base at EQ aligns with the Club’s strategic vision for an elite training and match day venue, alongside a permanent Centre of Excellence within the same precinct, catering to the Club’s expanding Female Rugby League Pathway Program.
While seven players are currently engaged in the Women’s State of Origin series, regular training sessions for the squad will commence post the Origin series, concluding at the end of June. Sky Blues Head Coach Kylie Hilder will also rejoin the Roosters as an Assistant Coach following the conclusion of her Origin commitments.
Players without representative obligations will convene for their inaugural session of the Club’s 2024 NRLW preseason on Monday, June 3rd.
Expressing anticipation for the upcoming training regimen, Head Coach John Strange emphasized the significance of the eight-week preparation period leading up to the commencement of the 2024 NRLW season in late July.
Strange remarked, “It’s truly exhilarating to kickstart our preparations for this year’s NRLW season. This pivotal eight-week period allows us to refine our skills, ensure peak physical condition, and foster team cohesion ahead of our campaign kick-off.”
The Sydney Roosters’ 2024 NRLW squad will consist of 24 NRLW-contracted players and four individuals listed on the Club’s Development List.
