Player still mulling over decision about Brighton future, acknowledging significant interest from various parties.
On May 7th, reports from Germany indicated Eintracht Frankfurt’s interest in signing Pascal Gross from Brighton & Hove Albion during the summer transfer window. It was suggested that he may need to accept a reduced salary to make the move.
With just over a year remaining on his contract, the German international’s future at The Amex Stadium remains uncertain. According to Bild, Gross is aware of the strong interest from Eintracht Frankfurt, who are seeking an experienced defensive midfielder and view the 32-year-old as a suitable candidate.
Bild states that Gross holds the key to whether he will return to Germany in the upcoming transfer window, and his final decision is still pending, possibly extending beyond the conclusion of Euro 2024.
With his contract expiring in 2025, it is estimated that a fee of around €5m would be required to secure his departure from Brighton. Should Gross opt for a move to Germany, he may need to accept a salary reduction. However, Eintracht Frankfurt are concerned that other German clubs, including Borussia Dortmund, could also enter the fray to sign the midfielder.
The interested parties, along with Brighton, are eagerly awaiting Gross’ ultimate decision regarding his future.
