The Club announces that Diana Taylor AM has resigned from the Board after 14 years of dedicated service.
Diana joined the Board in 2010, serving as a Director and later as Vice President from 2019, blending her passion for football with her love for Geelong.
Throughout her tenure, Diana made significant contributions, not only as Vice President but also as chair of the Club’s Corporate Governance Committee, member of the AFLW Competition Committee, and leader of AFL Victoria’s diversity initiative with VicHealth, the Fair Game – Respect Matters Program.
As a long-serving Director, Diana’s commitment and enthusiasm have been crucial to the Club’s achievements, including the completion of GMHBA Stadium and record-breaking membership numbers.
Geelong President Craig Drummond expressed gratitude for Diana’s contributions.
“Diana has dedicated considerable time to our Club over the past 14 years, offering expertise that has significantly influenced the Club’s direction and ensured its continued success. Her impact, especially in AFLW and VFLW, where she championed opportunities for women and girls, has been substantial.
“On behalf of my fellow directors—Kate Betts, Barry Fagg, Grant McCabe, Lyndsay Sharp, Kate Spargo, and James Sutherland—and chief executive Steve Hocking, we extend our heartfelt thanks to Diana for her contributions to the football club and the Geelong community.”
The Club congratulates Diana on her extensive service and wishes her and her family all the best for the future.
