Kristaps Porzingis talks about the culture of the Celtics and building a team.

Kristaps Porzingis played for 29 minutes in the game against the Magic on Sunday.

After the Boston Celtics secured a 17-point victory over the Orlando Magic, head coach Joe Mazzulla expressed his belief that the team is now embracing the essence of “Celtics Basketball.”

Star player Kristaps Porzingis, when informed of Mazzulla’s comments during his postgame press conference, provided further insight into what it means to embody Celtics Basketball. Porzingis stated, “I think — yeah, it does make sense. Because it’s kinda something we have talked about early in the season. Which I think J.B. [Jaylen Brown] said it, like when you have that much talent, it can invite some laziness or some, ‘Okay, we’re just gonna win anyway.’ But what we wanna do is build that culture that no matter how talented we are, or no matter who’s in or who’s out, or if we’re all playing, we always play the same.”

After sitting out Friday’s game against Orlando due to left calf tightness, Porzingis contributed 15 points and 10 rebounds in Sunday’s triumphant performance.
