Chiefs DL suffers seizure and cardiac arrest during training; cause has been review…
Kansas City Chiefs defensive end BJ Thompson suffered a seizure and went into cardiac arrest before being stabilized on Thursday, according to multiple reports.
Thompson experienced the medical emergency during a team meeting and received immediate attention from the Chiefs’ medical staff before being transported to a hospital by ambulance. He is currently in stable condition.

All team activities for the day were canceled following the incident, affecting the back-to-back Super Bowl champions during their OTAs.
Thompson, a former standout at Stephen F. Austin, was drafted by the Chiefs in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL draft. As a rookie, he recorded two tackles in one game.
The Chiefs are set to resume practice on Friday and begin their mandatory minicamp next week.
