In College Park, Maryland, the University of Maryland football program recently completed the early signing period by securing commitments from 21 student-athletes who signed national letters of intent to join the Terrapins.
The 2024 recruiting class, currently ranked 34th by Rivals.com, boasts five standout four-star signees: Offensive Lineman Ryan Howerton, Defensive Backs Brandon Jacob and Braydon Lee, Wide Receiver Mekhai White, and Running Back DeJuan Williams.
Among these signings, Maryland successfully landed 11 of the top 45 players from the state, including the second-ranked running back (Williams) and cornerback (Lee).
The recruits represent a diverse pool, hailing from six states and Canada. In addition to Maryland, the Terps recruited three players each from Pennsylvania and Virginia, with one each from Canada, Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina.
Position-wise, the Terps bolstered their roster with 13 offensive players (including 8 offensive linemen, 2 running backs, 2 wide receivers, and 1 quarterback) and 8 defensive players (including 5 defensive backs, 2 linebackers, and 1 defensive lineman).
Nine of the signees are set to enroll early, including Logan Bennett, Ryan Howerton, Lloyd Irvin III, Brandon Jacob, Keyari James, Braydon Lee, Anthony Reddick, Mekhai White, and DeJuan Williams.
The rest of Maryland’s 2024 signing class will be announced in February.
