Oregon Ducks Land Commitment from Four-Star Athlete Brandon Finney

The Oregon Ducks were already having a successful 2025 recruiting cycle with a top-10 class and strong momentum from top-tier prospects.

However, their class received a significant boost on Tuesday.

According to reports from On3’s Hayes Fawcett, four-star athlete Brandon Finney from McDonogh School (Owings Mills, MD) committed to Oregon, choosing the Ducks over Penn State, Ohio State, and South Carolina.

“Grateful for the many opportunities, but I’m ready to work GO DUCKS!!” Finney told Fawcett.

In his previous season at McDonogh, Finney showcased his versatility with 51 receptions for 632 yards and four touchdowns. Defensively, he excelled with three interceptions and 22 tackles from his cornerback position.

Finney is also an accomplished track athlete, posting impressive times of 10.85 seconds in the 100-meter dash and 21.84 seconds in the 200-meter dash during his junior season, qualifying for the Maryland Class A state finals, per 247Sports.

Currently ranked as the No. 191 overall player, No. 8 athlete, and No. 4 player in Maryland by the On3 Industry Ranking, Finney is highly regarded across major recruiting services. On3 places him even higher individually, ranking him as the No. 131 overall player, No. 5 athlete, and No. 3 player in Maryland.

He is projected to play cornerback at the college level.
