With only five days remaining until his announcement, did a family member just hint that Pettijohn might surprise everyone and commit to the USC Trojans?
As of now, nothing is certain. Even if Riley Pettijohn commits to USC, retaining him will be a significant challenge, as seen with other recruits like Justus Terry, Isaiah Gibson, and Hylton Stubbs. However, it’s clear that Coach Matt Entz has made a lasting impact on Pettijohn.
The timing is critical for USC, especially after local LB prospect Noah Mikhail committed to Texas A&M. Securing Pettijohn would be a substantial victory and somewhat necessary for the Trojans.
