Known for his reserved nature, Leonard kept his response brief when asked about his former teammate joining Joel Embiid in the Eastern Conference for a shot at his first NBA championship.
When the press questioned him about George’s departure, Leonard’s reply was succinct and left little room for interpretation.

“I don’t have a problem with [Paul George] leaving.”
Given Leonard’s typically reserved demeanor, it’s challenging to fully grasp his feelings about George’s departure. However, as a seasoned player, Leonard understands that not everything goes as planned in the NBA. Only one team can win the title, and their partnership didn’t yield the expected results.
Leonard has proven he can carry a team on his own. Last season, the 33-year-old averaged 23.7 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game. His successful stint in Toronto showed he can lead a team to a championship, so it’s not far-fetched to believe he can do it again in LA.
Whether he can replicate that success remains to be seen.
