Breaking News: Raducanu Reveals Rigorous Future Plans Post-Wimbledon…

Emma Raducanu recently wrapped up her 2024 Wimbledon Championships run and shared her upcoming schedule.

Raducanu has decided not to participate in the Olympic Games in Paris this year, choosing to prioritize her health. She believes that frequent surface changes would not be beneficial for her body, especially after experiencing wrist soreness recently. This decision seems prudent under the circumstances.

However, Raducanu will remain active. She plans to play in July, but her matches will be in the United States. After taking about two weeks off to rest, she will head to the U.S. to continue her 2024 season at the Citi Open in Washington, as she mentioned at Wimbledon.

Raducanu Sheds Light On Her Upcoming Schedule After Wimbledon Exit

The Citi Open runs from July 29th to August 4th, overlapping with the Olympic Games, leading many players who opted out of the Olympics to participate in Washington instead.

After competing in D.C., Raducanu will remain in the United States to participate in additional events, though she has not specified which ones. Potential tournaments include the WTA 1000 events in Canada and Cincinnati, followed by the US Open.

Since her return from injury, Raducanu has been selective about her tournament schedule, avoiding the rush to play in every event. This strategy might also apply during the US Open swing. Previously, her attempts to play a full schedule were unsuccessful due to her body not being ready.

She spent much of the last year focusing on her physical conditioning, but as recent events have shown, smooth progress is not guaranteed.
