One area they could strengthen is their lineup’s middle order, and they are reportedly interested in Tampa Bay Rays All-Star Yandy Díaz, according to FanSided’s Robert Murray. “The Texas Rangers have expressed interest in Rays infielder Yandy Díaz, as first reported by Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic, and there are other teams involved,” Murray stated. It remains unclear if the Rays are willing to trade Díaz, who is signed through 2025 with a $12 million club option for 2026.
Díaz, last year’s American League batting champion, could provide a significant boost to the Rangers’ lineup. Although Texas didn’t start the season as expected, mainly due to injuries, they are getting healthier and could soon show their full potential.
