The Baltimore Ravens, who were the AFC’s top seed just last season, are off to a rocky start in the 2024 NFL season, sitting at 0-2. With a tough matchup against the Dallas Cowboys looming in Week 3, there’s a legitimate chance the Ravens could fall to 0-3. A team that was just one game away from the Super Bowl last season now faces an early crisis.

The Ravens’ slow start has sparked speculation about their 2025 NFL Draft positioning. Should the slide continue, Baltimore could find themselves selecting higher than expected, despite currently being projected at 26th overall. In CBS Sports’ latest mock draft by Chris Trapasso, the Ravens are projected to take Texas Longhorns wide receiver Isaiah Bond.

Bond, a junior at Texas, has already caught 13 passes for 215 yards and three touchdowns in 2024, showcasing his big-play ability. Trapasso highlighted this in his mock draft, saying, “Bond’s been a big-play waiting to happen to start the 2024 season at Texas. He’ll be another smaller and speedy weapon for Lamar Jackson in Baltimore.”

Baltimore has had mixed results with wide receivers in recent drafts. While the likes of Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman have shown flashes, neither has emerged as a true No. 1 option for Lamar Jackson. With Bond’s speed and ability to stretch the field, he could give the Ravens offense the spark it needs.

The connection between the Ravens and Texas players runs deeper. The Cowboys, known for scouting talent from the Longhorns, often keep a close eye on the Texas program. If Bond continues his strong play, expect his draft stock to rise, especially as teams like the Ravens, Cowboys, and others search for offensive firepower in the 2025 NFL Draft.

For now, the Ravens are focused on turning their season around. But with a tough schedule and the potential of falling to 0-3, the draft talk will only intensify as they look to bounce back. Bond, who is one of the top playmakers in college football, could be the dynamic addition Baltimore needs to reignite their offense next season.
