On Saturday night, reports surfaced that Kevin Dunn, Executive Producer & Chief of Global Television Distribution, had notified WWE about his departure from the company. Dunn, who played a pivotal role in producing shows like Raw and SmackDown, as well as serving as one of Vince McMahon’s trusted deputies, was expected to leave following Endeavor’s takeover of WWE and McMahon’s reduced involvement in day-to-day operations.

On January 1, WWE President Nick Khan sent an email to company employees confirming Dunn’s departure. PWInsider, which initially reported Dunn’s resignation over the weekend, obtained a copy of the email:
“After 40+ years of contributing to the growth of WWE and establishing the best production and media unit in the entire sports and entertainment industry, Kevin Dunn will be departing from our company as of today.
Before WrestleMania 1, Kevin joined Vince at WWF. Many of us recall a pre-WrestleMania WWF – a regional wrestling company with a regional look. Then came WrestleMania 1, whether watched live, on closed circuit, or years later. It was magical. A regional wrestling company had transformed into a global sports entertainment powerhouse. Vince led the way, shoulder to shoulder with Kevin Dunn. While many of us were kids waiting in line to play Pac-Man, Kevin was already on the road, putting in the hard work to build our company.
The current look and feel of our product, seen 52 weeks a year, three to four times a week, is unparalleled. It is unique and truly extraordinary. No other company can or will achieve that, and it’s a testament to Kevin and our media team’s dedication, intelligence, and resolve.”
