Cavs’ Starting Forward Exits Preseason Opener with Injury, Status Uncertain for Next Game
The Cleveland Cavaliers suffered an early setback in their preseason opener as small forward Max Strus exited the game due to injury. In the nine minutes he was on the court, Strus grabbed two rebounds and dished out one assist but did not attempt a shot. His absence left the Cavs to adjust, with sharpshooter Sam Merrill stepping into the rotation to help fill the void.
