“Florida Football’s 104-Day Commitment Crumbles as Star Recruit Joins Miami”

Last year, as losses mounted for Florida Football, a wave of decommitments sent their top three recruiting class tumbling out of the top 10. This season, Florida is struggling to even build a solid recruiting foundation, with several players already leaving the class as the team starts 3-2.

This trend continues with a key wide receiver who committed to the Gators in June, now flipping to Miami just 104 days after his pledge.

Florida Football: A Sinking Ship

Joshua Moore, a composite top 200 recruit from Pembroke Pines, announced his commitment to Florida on June 26. At that time, it was clear from his film that he was a four-star prospect, showcasing impressive catch radius and athleticism suitable for the next level.

Initially, Moore seemed to choose between Florida and FSU, though Miami and Georgia were also in contention. Throughout the season, he visited Gainesville multiple times, but Miami began to gain traction.

On Tuesday, Moore confirmed that he would not be joining the Gators, officially flipping his commitment to Miami after just 104 days.

Currently, Florida has 12 commitments for the 2025 class, but they sit at 37th in the 247 Composite rankings and have dropped to 15th in the SEC.
