LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – Tyler The Miami Heat defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 110-96 on Wednesday night, with Herro scoring 21 points and Duncan Robinson scoring 11 of his 13 points in the fourth quarter.
Jaime Jaquez Jr. added 16 points, and Nikola Jovic and Bam Adebayo each had 15 as all eight Miami players who played scored in double figures. Kevin Love had 14 rebounds and 10 points, a season high.
Miami was missing Jimmy Butler for the sixth time in seven games due to right foot discomfort.
For Los Angeles, Anthony Davis had 29 points and 18 rebounds, and Austin Reaves had 24 points. The Heat shot 39.1% from the field in the first three quarters, but were 14 of 24 in the fourth, including 6 of 11 on 3-pointers.
The Lakers shot 4 of 30 from 3-point range and committed 15 of their 22 turnovers in the first half as they fell for the ninth time in their past 12 games. LeBron James finished with 12 points after shooting 6 of 18 from the field.
With 4:22 left in the first half, Love’s layup off a steal gave the Heat a 43-31 advantage.
Miami led 43-35 at halftime before the Lakers began to claw their way back in the second half.
Los Angeles led 74-72 early in the fourth quarter thanks to Christian Wood’s driving layup and free throw to complete a 3-point play, but Miami answered with a 10-2 run that included 3-pointers by Robinson and Jaquez.
The Heat put the game out of reach with a 15-6 surge four minutes into the fourth quarter.
