The Cincinnati Reds have added a promising arm to their organization, signing right-handed pitcher Zach Willeman from the Sioux City Explorers.
Willeman was in the middle of his second season with the team and had been performing exceptionally well. Over 50 innings pitched this year, the 28-year-old posted a 2.34 ERA, making him a standout on the mound and catching the attention of major league scouts.
His consistent performance in the American Association helped earn him a shot at moving up the professional ladder, and now he’ll look to make an impact in the Reds’ system.
