Oregon Ducks Set to Make History in Debut Big Ten Season: Coach Lanning Confident in Team’s Talent and Preparation”

The upcoming 2024 college football season is poised to make history for the Oregon Ducks. Not only will they debut in the Big Ten, but they are also seen as strong contenders to clinch the conference title, alongside Michigan and Ohio State.

Oregon’s move to the Big Ten is not merely for amusement; it signifies a serious commitment, with aspirations beyond conference victory.

Oregon’s head coach, Dan Lanning, expressed confidence in his team’s potential. “I think you know, we got to play games and see how we play as a team, but we have a lot of talent on this roster,” he said on Wednesday. “This is the most talented roster I’ve had since we’ve been here.”

Lanning’s assertion, given his impressive track record in Eugene thus far, places significant pressure on the Ducks. However, they are fully aware of the expectations and are ready to confront them.

“I think we’ve got a lot of work between now and then. But I do think that we have the pieces to the puzzle that are gonna allow us to have a really good team and what that looks like you know, time will tell,” Lanning said. “It’s gonna be about our offseason work. You know, you don’t win a game on paper. You’ve got to go practice. You got to become a team and that’s the process over the next few months for us is building a team.”

Oregon has secured top-notch recruits nationally and has excelled in the transfer portal. While the Big Ten eagerly welcomed the Ducks, they may soon regret extending that invitation, particularly after witnessing their performance in the upcoming season.
