Toronto Raptors Return to Full Strength: Barrett, Agbaji, and Olynyk Ready for Action

The Toronto Raptors have confirmed that RJ Barrett, Kelly Olynyk, and Ochai Agbaji are set to participate in Saturday night's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Toronto Raptors have regained their full roster strength.

According to Raptors coach Darko Rajaković, RJ Barrett is cleared to play in Saturday night’s game against the Cleveland Cavaliers following his knee’s positive response after Friday’s match against the Houston Rockets.

Furthermore, Toronto is set to introduce Ochai Agbaji and Kelly Olynyk, who were acquired in a trade deadline deal with the Utah Jazz. Although they were available for Friday’s game, they did not see action.

Rajaković noted that during the previous game, designated coaches worked with both Olynyk and Agbaji to expedite their integration into the team. He highlighted their proactive approach, stating that “The good thing about both of the new players is they’re asking great questions.”

Olynyk is expected to assume the role of backup center, taking minutes behind Jakob Poeltl and relegating Jontay Porter to the bench. Agbaji is anticipated to join the second unit as a defensive-oriented guard capable of defending at the point of attack.

In addition, the Raptors have signed Justise Winslow and Mouhamadou Gueye on 10-day contracts. Although they may not feature prominently in Saturday’s game, Rajaković expressed that it serves as recognition for their contributions to the team’s G League program this season. He praised their efforts, stating, “It’s going to be a really good addition to our team. And it’s also a reward for those guys for everything they did this season.”
