LSU football is hiring its next top personnel staff member from Ole Miss.

As LSU football replenishes its personnel department following several departures, it has hired the next top personnel staff member from Ole Miss. Preston Tiffany is set to become the Tigers’ new director of player personnel, a role crucial for recruiting and roster management. This move was confirmed by a source to The Advocate, with Football Scoop first reporting the news on Wednesday.

Tiffany’s appointment fills a position that opened up when Will Redmond departed for Auburn after three seasons with LSU. The team has also seen the departure of two personnel assistants, Jeremiah Bogan and Mike Ferrara, as they advanced to top jobs at other schools.

Tiffany spent the last four seasons at Ole Miss, starting as a recruiting and personnel assistant after graduating from South Carolina in 2020. He steadily progressed to the role of director of player personnel by last year.

LSU has made its second hire from Ole Miss this off season, with Austin Thomas joining as the new senior associate athletic director for football administration. Thomas previously served as the chief of staff under Lane Kiffin at Ole Miss for the past two years.
