Promising player from the Wests Tigers team has been sidelined.
Wests Tigers supporters will have to wait a bit longer to see Lachlan Galvin in action, as the young player has been ruled out of the team’s first Pre-Season Challenge game. Galvin picked up a calf injury during training ahead of the match against the New Zealand Warriors. While the exact timeline for his return is uncertain, the club has described the injury as minor and Galvin will undergo further scans upon his return to Sydney. In his absence, the talented young halfback Iverson Matai, who joined the squad from the Canterbury Bulldogs last year, will step in. Matai, a member of the extended NSW Cup squad, previously played in the SG Ball Cup and Jersey Flegg Cup in 2023.
