The Oregon Ducks have been notably active in the transfer portal this year, bolstering their secondary talent with acquisitions such as Jabbar Muhammad, Kobe Savage, Kam Alexander, and Brandon Johnson. With these additions, they appear well-equipped in the defensive backfield heading into the 2024 season.
However, their pursuit of talent doesn’t end there.
A surprising development emerged earlier this week when Michigan Wolverines safety Keon Sabb announced his intention to transfer. Reports from On3’s Hayes Fawcett suggest that the Ducks are among the many teams vying for Sabb’s services since he became available.

Sabb played a significant role in Michigan’s championship campaign, tallying 28 tackles, 2 interceptions, and 1 touchdown for the season. His standout performance in the national championship game against the Washington Huskies, where he recorded 6 tackles and 2 pass breakups, further underscores his impact on the field.
Ranked as the 54th-best player in the transfer portal this year and the fourth-best safety by 247Sports, Sabb’s potential addition would complement the safeties Oregon has already secured, including Savage (ranked 13th among safeties in the 2024 portal) and Brandon Johnson (ranked 28th among safeties in the 2024 portal).
It remains to be seen if the Ducks can successfully recruit Sabb, whose addition would further enhance their already impressive haul from the transfer portal this offseason.
