The immediate NRL move of Rabbitohs forward has been confirmed.
South Sydney Rabbitohs have officially released forward Daniel Suluka-Fifita from his contract, allowing him to join the Canterbury Bulldogs immediately. Suluka-Fifita, who had been with the Rabbitohs until the end of the 2025 season, will now move to the Bulldogs on a two-year deal.
Phil Gould, speaking on behalf of the Bulldogs, praised Suluka-Fifita’s talent and potential, noting his previous experience with the Sydney Roosters and South Sydney. The 24-year-old forward played seven games for the Roosters in 2022 before transferring to South Sydney, where he played five more NRL matches that season. Last year, in his first full season with the Rabbitohs, he appeared in ten games.
Despite facing injuries over the past two seasons, Suluka-Fifita has shown dedication and effort while representing the Rabbitohs. Mark Ellison, South Sydney’s football boss, expressed well wishes for Suluka-Fifita and his family as he embarks on this new chapter in his career.
While Suluka-Fifita is recovering from an ACL injury and is not expected to return to the field until May, the Bulldogs have confirmed his imminent arrival at Belmore and look forward to his contributions once he is fully fit.
