Nick Brown resigns from Labour, comparing it to a “golf club with poor Management.”

Nick Brown, the former senior whip for Labour, quit from the party today, calling its disciplinary procedures a “complete farce” and comparing it to a “mismanaged golf club.”

Mr. Brown, who served as chief whip under Tony Blair and Sir Keir Starmer before serving as an MP for Newcastle for 40 years, was suspended from the party sixteen months ago.

Since then, Mr. Brown claimed that Labour has been looking into a complaint regarding an alleged incident that happened more than 25 years ago, claiming it came from “a political rival within the party.”

He claimed that Labour’s investigation lacked both impartiality and safeguards.

“When the probable next party in government handles cases this serious in a way that’s more akin to a mismanaged golf club, things have reached a very sorry pass,” he continued.

“The Labour Party treats all complaints with the utmost seriousness,” a Labour spokesperson stated.

“The Labour Party has instituted an impartial and fair complaints process that guarantees complaints are resolved in an independent manner.”
