Cantlay, in an interview with Golf.com, expressed a desire to mend the relationship, emphasizing the intense emotions that the Ryder Cup evokes. He also suggested that the ‘dick’ remark was taken out of context and highlighted their collaborative work on the PGA Tour Policy Board, describing their post-Ryder Cup conversation as cordial. Regarding the heated moment on the 18th green, Cantlay defended LaCava’s actions, attributing it to the high-pressure nature of the event.
