Falcons coach Arthur Smith has not ruled out the possibility of Desmond Ridder starting at QB in the upcoming game against the Indianapolis Colts. The Falcons faced a defeat against the league’s worst team on Sunday, with Ridder’s subpar performance contributing to the loss.
Ridder threw a costly interception late in the game, and the Falcons managed to score only 7 points against a defense allowing just under 25 points per game this season. Ridder concluded the game with a 12/20 completion rate, 152 yards, 1 touchdown, and 1 interception.
On Monday, Smith informed reporters that a decision between Ridder, backup Taylor Heinicke, or another option has not been finalized for Week 16.
