More appalling quarterback news for the Jacksonville Jaguars as the QB is signed by the New England Patriots
Following the signing of quarterback Will Grier by the Los Angeles Chargers from their practice squad on Monday morning, the New England Patriots swiftly added a recently released quarterback from the Jacksonville Jaguars to their roster. The Patriots, with a current record of 3-11, made this move in the aftermath of their loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.
Jaguars of Jacksonville miss out on a quarterback.
As reported by Tom Pelissero from the NFL Network, the New England Patriots have acquired quarterback Nathan Rourke off waivers from the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars waived Rourke on Saturday, a decision made a day prior to starting quarterback Trevor Lawrence sustaining a head injury. With the absence of a quarterback on their practice squad, the Jaguars might have retained Rourke had it not been for his waiver.
Consequently, the Jaguars are now in need of an emergency quarterback this week, and the competition for available quarterback reserves is intensifying among teams with urgent requirements.
