Jacksonville Jaguars’ quarterback Trevor is scheduled to participate in practice on Friday, as the team faces a three-game losing streak.

According to head coach Doug Pederson, Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence is set to participate in Friday’s practice while still being under concussion protocol.

This comes in preparation for Sunday’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Lawrence entered concussion protocol after the Jaguars’ Week 15 loss to the Baltimore Ravens.

The upcoming game against the Buccaneers is crucial for the Jacksonville Jaguars, and it appears that CJ Beathard will likely be the starting quarterback. Beathard, the backup quarterback, previously stepped in earlier in the season during a week when Trevor Lawrence was dealing with an ankle injury and prepared as the starter. It seems that Beathard is set to start for the Jaguars in this significant game.

It’s noteworthy that Trevor Lawrence has started every game for the Jaguars since being selected with the first pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, maintaining a streak of 48 consecutive games.

According to Jacksonville offensive coordinator Press Taylor on Thursday, the situation is not as chaotic as it might seem. He mentioned, “We’ve been through this. We’re not certain about Trevor’s status going into a game. Now, they have different skill sets, so you may highlight different aspects based on the timing of how they release the ball, their mobility, and other factors. He (Beathard) is a quarterback.

Both of them excel in operating from the pocket, and our focus is on the things they do well and utilizing the players around them, which is a significant part of our strategy.”
