The Los Angeles Rams took a huge step towards securing a Wild Card spot with a win over the New Orleans Saints from SoFi on Thursday night.

Carr connected with A.T. Perry on a deep pass, swiftly bringing the Saints back into the game. Following Perry’s touchdown, Olave secured the catch for a two-point conversion. Despite this momentum, the Rams recovered the onside kick, enabling them to survive a late-game scare for the second consecutive week and solidify their hold on a Wild Card spot in the NFC.

Looking ahead, the Saints will shift their focus to the upcoming game against the Bucs in Tampa. This matchup is likely to play a decisive role in determining the winner of the NFC South. While the Saints still retain a chance at one of the three Wild Card spots, the congested standings with multiple teams hovering around a 7-7 record make winning the division seem like a more direct path.

When JT Gray stopped the Rams’ punt and created another touchdown drive on a short field, the comeback gained some credibility.

The Saints’ lone visit to the red zone occurred far too soon. With less than seven seconds remaining, Carr connected with Juwan Johnson at the pylon, but a comeback from a 23-point deficit would require a miracle for New Orleans to succeed.
