Cowboys players’ personal info leaked after blowout loss to Bills

A challenging day for two Dallas Cowboys members took a turn for the worse. Following the Buffalo Bills’ decisive 31-10 victory over the Cowboys last Sunday, disgruntled fans revealed private details about Dallas safety Jayron Kearse and his counterpart Juanyeh Thomas. Kearse’s residential address was exposed, and Thomas’ phone number was shared with the public.

The controversy unfolded when Kearse inquired on social media about a flagged play, but fans swiftly shifted the focus to criticize his subpar performance. In an attempt to defend his teammates, Thomas intervened, but fans escalated the situation.

Thomas expressed his discontent, stating that these fans had “crossed a line.” In an interview with The Dallas Morning News, Thomas, who had to change his number due to the incident, emphasized his ability to handle criticism but highlighted the inappropriate nature of sharing personal information such as addresses and phone numbers. He underscored that, despite the competitive nature of the game, there are boundaries that should not be crossed as players have lives beyond the sport.

“People were texting me, calling me. I’m like, ‘Wow, I don’t even know how people can leak your number,'” he remarked.

Fortunately for the Cowboys, they secured a playoff spot just before taking the field on Sunday. However, the game did not unfold favorably for Dallas, as they slipped a game behind the NFC-leading San Francisco 49ers, bringing their record to 10-4.

Despite a season marked by high-scoring performances, with five instances of scoring 40 or more points and eight victories by 20 or more points, the Cowboys struggled in this game, recording a season-low 195 yards of offense.

Quarterback Dak Prescott completed 21 of 34 passes for 134 yards with one interception.
