Halt me if this sounds familiar: Once again, Taylor Swift is making an appearance at a Kansas City Chiefs game. The renowned pop music icon made her entrance into Arrowhead Stadium just before the Christmas Day matchup between the Chiefs and the Las Vegas Raiders, accompanied by a noteworthy companion.

Regrettably, it seems that the figure in Santa Claus attire wasn’t Travis Kelce. The Chiefs shared a video capturing their standout tight end making his entrance into the stadium earlier on Monday morning.

While it’s within the realm of possibility that Kelce employed his initial entrance as a tactic to divert attention, it also appears to be a considerable effort for a player gearing up for a 1 p.m. ET kickoff.

This marks Taylor Swift’s eighth attendance at a Chiefs game this season, with five of those being at Arrowhead Stadium. Notably, the Chiefs have a 5-2 record in the seven previous games she’s been present.

Travis Kelce is aiming for a standout performance on this holiday occasion, especially after a modest 28-yard performance in last week’s victory over the New England Patriots. This marked his third-lowest yardage of the season, and he hasn’t scored a touchdown since Week 11 against the Philadelphia Eagles.

A victory for the Chiefs in this game would serve as a special Christmas gift, securing them the AFC West title for the eighth consecutive season. The only team in NFL history with a longer streak of division titles is the New England Patriots, who achieved 11 straight AFC East titles from 2009 to ’19.
