Colts, Raiders Injury Report: Excellent News Ahead of the Playoffs

While it’s premature to confirm the participation of either Pittman or Smith in Sunday’s game, the fact that they are listed as participants at the beginning of the week is an encouraging sign. Pittman made progress through the concussion protocol last week, even receiving clearance before facing a setback that led to him returning to the protocol. On the other hand, Smith has been sidelined for most of the last four games and has not participated in practice since.

During Pittman’s absence in the previous game against the Atlanta Falcons, outside receivers Alec Pierce and Montgomery collectively caught 4-of-10 targets for 38 yards. Pittman, by himself, has been averaging 7 receptions (on 10 targets) for 76 yards per game this season.

As for Smith’s replacement, rookie Blake Freeland, he currently ranks 22nd out of 24 qualifying rookie offensive linemen in pass-block efficiency (93.8%) this season, according to Pro Football Focus. This comes after allowing at least 4 quarterback hurries in 7 games.
