Breaking News: Blake Corum Sets New Record as Michigan’s All-Time Leader in Career Rushing Touchdowns.
In the Rose Bowl’s overtime on Monday, Blake Corum secured his 56th career rushing touchdown at the University of Michigan, claiming the top spot on the all-time list. Michigan has seen several outstanding running backs, but none have surpassed the senior running back, Blake Corum, in rushing touchdowns.
With his 56th career rushing score, Corum has accumulated 25 rushing touchdowns in the 2023 season. Corum had previously broken Michigan’s single-season rushing touchdown record with his 22nd touchdown earlier in the year. As the season concludes, Corum still has the potential to increase his total if the Wolverines advance to the national championship. When Corum chose to return to Michigan, he aimed not only to leave a lasting legacy in Ann Arbor but also to achieve success with his teammates.
Corum has accomplished both during his time with the Wolverines, and in 2023, both he and Michigan have the opportunity for significant achievements. Anthony ‘The A-Train’ Thomas held the all-time rushing touchdown record at Michigan until Corum surpassed it. Thomas played from 1997–2000 in Ann Arbor.
