Three Denver Broncos players have been chosen as starters to represent the team in the 2024 Pro Bowl in Orlando in February. The NFL announced on Wednesday that safety Justin Simmons, cornerback Pat Surtain II, and rookie returner Marvin Mims will be in the starting lineup for the American Football Conference.
Surtain secures his second consecutive Pro Bowl appearance, having been the sole Bronco elected to the game last year. Despite having only one interception this season, the 23-year-old has faced the 15th-fewest targets in the NFL, totaling 82.
Simmons, the longest-serving Broncos player, earns his second Pro Bowl appearance after posting his sixth consecutive season with at least three interceptions. He continues to play a crucial role in Denver’s defense.
Rookie Marvin Mims, making his debut Pro Bowl appearance, ranks second in the NFL this season in average punt return yards at 17.4. Additionally, he leads the AFC in average kickoff return yards with 26.3.
In addition to the three starters, two other players, guard Quinn Meinerz and fullback Michael Burton, were selected as third alternates.
