Conclusion of Notre Dame Signees’ Impressive Week at 2024 All-American Bowl Practice
The week of practice for the 2024 All-American Bowl concluded on Friday, with both the East and West squads finishing their preparations for the upcoming game on Saturday. EAST TEAM:
RB KEDREN YOUNG:
Kedren Young had an outstanding week, displaying his natural running abilities and impressing observers. Known for his patience and vision as a runner, Young, weighing in at 217 pounds, showcased a remarkable blend of power and explosiveness. Despite minimal involvement in the passing game during his senior year, Young demonstrated his potential in that area. With smooth movements, natural hands-catching ability, and solid ball skills, he quickly adapted to the passing game, addressing any concerns about that aspect of his play.
DE BRYCE YOUNG:
Bryce Young garnered attention from the beginning of the week, standing out with his impressive physical attributes. With a long, powerful, and explosive build, he had one of the best frames for a defensive lineman. Despite being a larger defensive end, Young showcased exceptional bend and flexibility, making him a formidable opponent. While there is room for technical development, Young’s tools and overall performance marked him as a significant standout during the week.
WEST TEAM:
WR CAM WILLIAMS:
Cam Williams started the week strongly, showcasing his speed, short-area quickness, and catch radius. However, due to limitations in the last three practices, he couldn’t fully participate and won’t play in the game. Despite this setback, there are no long-term concerns, and Williams is set to enroll soon, ensuring a promising future.
LB KYNGSTONN VILIAMU-ASA:
Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa emerged as one of the most impressive linebackers in San Antonio, earning consideration for the 2024 All-American Bowl Defensive Player of the Year. As an inside linebacker, he brought power, short-area quickness, and exceptional instincts to the table. Viliamu-Asa also displayed underrated athleticism, excelling in pass coverage and making impactful plays in space. His blend of athleticism and instincts solidified his standout performance throughout the week.
