The Washington football team faces a setback as they lose a key player…

The Washington Huskies will be without the services of wide receiver and kick returner Germie Bernard in the upcoming 2023 college football season. According to Pete Thamel of ESPN, Bernard has decided to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal. The 6-1, 205-pound receiver from Las Vegas, who initially began his college career at Michigan State, was a former ESPN 300 recruit and played a significant role in Washington’s impressive 14-1 season, contributing 738 yards.

Bernard’s choice to explore options in the NCAA Transfer Portal follows Washington football’s 34-13 defeat in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game against the Michigan Wolverines on January 8. Additionally, the departure of head coach Kalen DeBoer, who took on the role of head coach for the Alabama Crimson Tide after Nick Saban’s era, may have influenced Bernard’s decision to leave the program.

Where will Germie Bernard land after a one-year stint with Washington football?
