After winning his 12th career postseason game last weekend against the Bills, quarterback Patrick Mahomes of the Chiefs will become one of the few quarterbacks in NFL history to have done so.
If Mahomes reaches 13, he will tie Brett Favre and Ben Roethlisberger, who all retired with 13 postseason victories, as the seventh quarterback in NFL history to have at least 13 playoff victories.
Mahomes would have the chance to win in the AFC Championship Game for the fourteenth time in his career with a victory on Sunday. With it, he would tie Peyton Manning, Terry Bradshaw, and John Elway for the third-most postseason victories in NFL history.
Additionally, Mahomes would take sole possession of third place all-time with his 15th postseason victory if he and the Chiefs win the Super Bowl. At that point, Mahomes would trail just 16-time postseason winner Joe Montana in career wins, which is the second-highest total in NFL history.
Mahomes is still far from tying Tom Brady’s NFL record of 35 postseason victories.
