Silver Minings: Carmen Bricillo was not well-liked by players in Las Vegas.

The Las Vegas Raiders have yet to announce their general manager or head coach, with the Rooney rule already satisfied, allowing them to make an announcement at any time. Fans are eagerly awaiting news about the next coach and GM for the franchise.

Los Angeles Chargers v Las Vegas Raiders

One coach not returning to the team is Carmen Bricillo, who served as the Raiders’ offensive line coach for the past two seasons. Despite contributing to the team’s overachievement, the unit’s performance was inconsistent from week to week.

According to a recent report by ESPN’s Jordan Raanan, there was a divergence in player reactions to Bricillo’s coaching. While some players embraced his coaching style, others on the offensive line were not fond of it. Multiple sources indicate that Bricillo was not a favorite among players in Las Vegas, with concerns raised about his coaching techniques. The Raiders did not vigorously attempt to retain his services, especially considering his connection to coach Josh McDaniels, who was dismissed on October 31.

Bricillo, influenced by the Patriots’ coaching approach and aligned with McDaniels, faced challenges, potentially due to the discord McDaniels created with the team. As a result, the Raiders are in search of a new offensive line coach in 2024 who can effectively connect with the young offensive line.
