Breaking news: The Green Bay Packers QB Suddenly Announces Retirement.
The Green Bay Packers have witnessed several changes in NFC North rival quarterbacks over the past three decades. While the Packers experienced success with Aaron Rodgers and Brett Favre, the Lions, Bears, and Vikings have undergone significant quarterback turnover since the 1990s.
It now appears that another rival quarterback is concluding his football career. According to Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team, veteran quarterback Teddy Bridgewater is anticipated to retire from the NFL following the Lions’ recent loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
Bridgewater, drafted in 2014, has played for six different teams during his career. In December, he expressed contentment with his football journey, stating, “I was young and I was trapped in this lifestyle thinking that I was a football player 24-7, and when I got hurt I realized that I’m only a football player for three hours on a Sunday afternoon.
Outside of that, I’m Theodore Bridgewater, so it just put everything into perspective and it really helped me not even have to think about not being a starter (anymore). It’s like, ‘Man, I still got purpose.’ And my purpose is bigger than the game of football. Football is just a platform that I have.”
