Former Dolphins running back Damien Williams was arrested after he got into a fight with a pregnant woman over dog food.

Former Miami Dolphins running back Damien Williams was taken into custody last week following a heated altercation over their dog’s food with a pregnant woman, according to the police.

Williams was taken into custody on January 22 on suspicion of aggravated violence against a pregnant person, a felony.

Williams got into a confrontation with a lady who was 10 weeks pregnant with the NFL running back’s child, according to a Coconut Creek police report.

The altercation started “over a dispute about their dog’s food and escalated when” Williams grabbed her by the neck, she told police.

The woman’s arms had multiple scratches and bruises, and her neck was red, according to the police.

Williams played his first four NFL seasons with the Dolphins after going undrafted out of Oklahoma in 2014; he later won a Super Bowl with the Kansas City Chiefs. In addition, he was a player for the Arizona Cardinals, Atlanta Falcons, and Chicago Bears.

The Chiefs’ comeback victory over the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LIV in South Florida is likely Williams’ most well-known memory, thanks to his touchdowns in the fourth quarter. Williams gave the Chiefs a 20–17 lead with a 1-yard touchdown catch, and he later added another touchdown on a 38-yard run to clinch Kansas City’s first-ever Super Bowl victory.

Prior to his November release, the 31-year-old appeared in three games with the Cardinals in 2023.
