Jermaine Johnson of the Jets was chosen
Three players from the New York Jets will now play for them in the NFL Pro Bowl in 2024. Los Angeles Chargers DE and consistent Defensive Player of the Year contender Khalil Mack will be replaced by Jermaine Johnson of the Jets.
Because of Johnson’s improved performance, the Jets were able to aggressively pressure the quarterback and end up with 48 sacks in 2023. A bright spot in their front seven, Johnson recorded 16 QB hits last year, more than double his five from his rookie year.
For his efforts, Johnson will fill in for Mack, who has chosen not to participate in the competition this year. Johnson is a member of the AFC roster alongside colleagues Sauce Gardner and Quinnen Williams.
