Despite the season culminating in a remarkable fashion, the Packers leadership felt compelled to enact changes, chiefly parting ways with defensive coordinator Joe Barry.
While the process of selecting Barry’s successor underwent a deliberative phase, the Packers opted for a collegiate approach, appointing former Boston College head coach Jeff Hafley, as reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Although Hafley’s tenure at Boston College may not boast the most illustrious record, culminating in a 22-26 tally over four seasons, he will be afforded the opportunity to carve his niche in the NFL realm under the guidance of Matt LaFleur.
