The pass rushers for the Las Vegas Raiders had extensive offseason surgery.

One of the few bright lights in the otherwise disappointing Las Vegas Raiders season is Maxx Crosby. After having a stellar year with the team, he is regarded as one of the best pass rushers in the league.

He could have done better, though, if he hadn’t been tending to a persistent ailment that had hampered his play all season. He seized the chance presented by an extended offseason to deal with the problem right away.

Crosby had surgery on his knee once already this month, and on Wednesday he had another procedure.

The three-time Pro Bowl pick underwent hand surgery to fix a different injury he sustained while competing in 2023.

Crosby participated in every one of the Raiders’ 17 games in spite of the two injuries. Along with T.J. Watt, DaRon Bland, and Myles Garrett, he was a nominee for the NFL’s Defensive effort of the Year award due to his outstanding effort.

This season, Crosby’s stats are nothing to laugh at. In addition to 14.5 sacks, he also had a league-high 23 tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and 55 solo stops at the end of the season. It would be an understatement to suggest that he is carrying the Raiders offense alone during what has been a disastrous 8–9 season.
