Taylor Swift has become a hot topic of discussion in regards to the NFL and the sports industry as a whole since her relationship with Travis Kelce came to light. This coming week, as the Kansas City Chiefs look to win the Super Bowl for the second time in a row, that conversation will only become louder.
Even while there hasn’t been much of an impact on game broadcasts, some fans believe pop culture has invaded their beloved past time. Some people don’t mind that the NFL has received greater exposure as a result of Swift’s supporters and the mainstream media’s growing interest in the Chiefs.
Jason Kelce, the center for the Philadelphia Eagles, is one of the people who is happy with Swift’s increased NFL presence and her ability to inspire young fans, particularly female ones. That shouldn’t come as a surprise given that, despite his developing infatuation with Swift, he is delighted for his brother.
“The audience wants to see it, which is why there is attention,” said Kelce on Saturday at the Pro Bowl Games practice in Orlando. “They wouldn’t be airing it if people didn’t want to watch it. I am aware of that.
"The NFL would be foolish not to show (Taylor Swift)."

She is a global celebrity. Jason Kelce went on, “She’s the world’s most iconic artist right now—a singer-songwriter with extraordinary skill. “A phenomenal inspiration to young women everywhere.” It would be irresponsible of the NFL, in my opinion, to not feature her and serve as an inspiration to all young females.
Because of the attention that Swift and Travis receive, Jason Kelce has also profited, seeing an increase in his notoriety. However, he also understands that the NFL and the sport benefit from increased favorable publicity.
Did Kelce really need to make that point? Given that he’s being questioned about it, it appears so. Before the Big Game, a lot of players and coaches from the Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers will undoubtedly be asked similar questions. And Kelce’s opinion will probably be shared.
