A Green Bay Packers offensive tackle makes a confident statement as the team considers potential replacements…

Following a challenging season for David Bakhtiari, the Green Bay Packers are seeking players who can complement Jordan Love on the field. Rasheed Walker, an offensive tackle, appears ready to step into a more significant role.

Bakhtiari’s frequent injuries and significant contract have made him a liability for the team. In contrast, Walker demonstrated his capabilities during the Packers’ successful run last season.

With Bakhtiari sidelined by Week 2, Walker stepped up for Green Bay. Despite sharing the position with Yosh Nijman by Week 8, Walker became more impactful in the lineup than Nijman.

Walker’s progress last season arguably surpassed Love’s breakout campaign. Even Elgton Jenkins, a two-time Pro Bowler, sees Walker as a potential starter for the Packers later this year.

Given Walker’s youth and potential for improvement, there’s a strong chance he will start over Bakhtiari and Nijman. If this happens, it will validate his hard work.

Despite the excitement surrounding Walker, he remains focused on doing more for the team. As Walker stated in an article on the Packers’ official website, “It’s never enough. Always gotta do more. But as long as I’m on the field, I’m gonna do what I’ve gotta do.”

With Walker poised for further improvement next season, it makes sense for Green Bay to trust him, especially considering Bakhtiari’s uncertain future with the team.
