Another example of Gillespie’s influence was seen in a recent conversation with four-star running back Jordon Davison from Mater Dei High School in California. Gillespie had FaceTimed Davison before Alabama’s Rose Bowl game, telling him, “I am standing on your home turf. You know I am coming to get you.”
