Las Vegas Raiders QB shockingly suspended.
Jimmy Garoppolo, the quarterback for the Las Vegas Raiders, has been widely regarded as a model player unlikely to face issues with the NFL. However, Friday’s news was shocking: Garoppolo has been suspended for two games by the NFL for violating its policy on Performance Enhancing Drugs (PEDs).
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the suspension stems from Garoppolo’s use of a prescribed medication without a valid Therapeutic Use Exemption. While it appears Garoppolo did not intentionally violate the NFL’s PED policy, his intent carries little weight in terms of league discipline.
