Taylor Swift helped Lisa Lopez-Galvan, who was shot during the incident in Kansas City.

Kansas City, Missouri – Taylor Swift contributed $100,000 to the family of Lisa Lopez-Galvan, the victim of the shooting during the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory parade.

On a GoFundMe page, two donations of $50,000 each were credited to the singer on Friday. Swift’s representative confirmed the donations to Variety, with The Associated Press independently verifying the contributions.

Accompanying the donations were heartfelt messages expressing sympathy and condolences: “Sending my deepest sympathies and condolences in the wake of your devastating loss. With love, Taylor Swift.”

Lopez-Galvan, aged 43, was fatally shot during the parade celebration of the Chiefs’ Super Bowl win while she was with her husband, adult son, and numerous other fans at Union Station in the city. Known as Lisa G, she hosted the program “Taste of Tejano” on local radio station KKFI-FM. Lopez-Galvan had strong ties to Kansas City and was among the few Latina DJs in the region.

The GoFundMe page described her as “an amazing mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to so many,” urging continued prayers for her grieving family. As of Friday morning, the fundraiser had accumulated over $200,000.

In addition to Lopez-Galvan’s tragic death, 22 others, including several minors, sustained injuries in the shooting. Investigators are still working to identify the perpetrators, with indications suggesting a possible dispute preceding the incident. Authorities have detained two juveniles and are investigating potential involvement by others.

Despite her connection to Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and her attendance at the Super Bowl on Sunday, Swift was not present at Wednesday’s parade. She is presently engaged in performing a series of concerts in Melbourne, Australia, as part of her Eras tour.
