Land 4-time Pro Bowl QB in NFL Free Agency

Who will be the starting quarterback for the Atlanta Falcons in 2024? According to ESPN’s Matt Bowen, the Falcons are a great fit for four-time Pro Bowl QB Kirk Cousins. Bowen believes that Cousins would mesh well with Atlanta’s new offensive coordinator, Zac Robinson, who previously worked under Sean McVay in Los Angeles.

Cousins’ style of play, which includes both play-action and dropback passing, aligns with the Falcons’ offensive scheme. Despite Cousins suffering a season-ending injury in Week 8, he had a strong performance with the Minnesota Vikings, completing 69.5% of his passes with 18 touchdown passes and five interceptions. His potential arrival in Atlanta could upgrade their quarterback position, especially with the team’s young offensive talents in Drake London, Kyle Pitts, and Bijan Robinson.

Atlanta Falcons
After a disappointing 2023 season, Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank decided to make changes, including firing head coach Arthur Smith. The team explored hiring Bill Belichick but ultimately hired Raheem Morris to lead the team in 2024 and beyond. With ample salary cap space and the eighth overall pick in the upcoming draft, the Falcons are an attractive destination, particularly on the offensive side of the ball, given their talented players like Bijan Robinson, Kyle Pitts, and Drake London.
